The course helps to build up confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You join in different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
5 Adventure Dives
Within the Advanced Open water Course there are two required dives: the Deep Dive and the Underwater Navigation Dive. You choose the other 3, for a total of five dives, from a list of Adventure Dives. Examples of these dives are the Peak Performance Dive, the Naturalist Dive, the Drift Dive and Night Diving.
During the Deep Dive, you will learn how to plan dives in order to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get, vary with your interest and the Adventures Dive you choose. This is definitely for most divers the course in which they will get the most important tricks and tips regarding diving!
